Fortnite Winterfest 2020 has concluded and EPIC Games has released the Week 5 Epic Challenges. There are a total of 6 Challenges to complete, which are based on our Gnome friends. Each Challenge is worth 20K xp. One of the sets of challenges is tiered again. This means that you must complete a challenge in order for the next challenge to be unlocked. Let’s get to the challenges…

  • Find the buried Blue Coin in Retail Row (1)

Boy, don’t we all miss the XP coins from prior seasons? The first challenge requires you to find the buried blue coin in Retail Row. Here is the exact location of the buried Blue Coin. Look in the top right hand corner for the location on the Fortnite map. In order to “find” it, you will need to use your harvesting tool.

If you need more help finding this location, please watch our video.

The Tiered Challenges include the following:

  • Dig up Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park (4)

Here is where you can find the gnomes to dig up at Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park

  • Search chests or ammo crates (15)

This challenge is pretty self-explanatory. We recommend that you head into a game of Team Rumble and just start opening up chests and ammo crates. Lazy Lake is always a great place to land and we were able to knock out all 15 chests/ammo crates in one game.

  • Collect Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and and Holly Hedges (4)

The third challenge in this tier, sends you back to Fort Crumpet and Holly Hedges to collect your gnome friends. Here are the locations at Fort Crumpet:

  • Bury Gnomes in Pleasant Park or Retail Row (2)

To complete the last tier challenge, you need to bury gnomes in Pleasant Park or Retail Row. Here are the locations in Retail Row:

  • Deal damage while crouched (500)

For some unknown reason, the last Epic Challenge was labeled [2/2] and requires the player to deal damage while crouched. This is easy enough. Jump into a game of Team Rumble and crouch and shoot at some opponents.

This concludes our posts for 2020. Thank you for visiting and have a Happy New Year!
